Macau residents travelling abroad can phone to our 24-hour emergency service 
hotline--telephone: (853)28573333; fax: (853)28780826 in case they are 
suspected and detained for inquiries of the authenticity of their Macau SAR travel 
documents and have no way to contact the local consular missions of the People's 
Republic of China (PRC) in foreign countries.

   Residents asking for help should provide the following information:
1. Specify the situation;
2. Full name in Chinese and Portuguese;
3. Number of Macau Resident Identity Card (BIR);
4. Type and number of the travel document you are holding;
5. Personal contact telephone number;
6. Locate the country, city, the entry and exit port you are currently staying;
7. Telephone number of family or friends in Macau;
8. Name and telephone number of the officer in charge of the investigation at the 
   entry and exit port.

   The Identification Department will handle the case upon receiving the phone 
call and provide aid as soon as possible.
