Notes on Online Application for Macao SAR Resident Identity Card Renewal:

• This online service is applicable to persons who fulfill all of the following criteria:

-Resident identity card is going to expire in the next 6 months or has expired;
-Macao permanent resident who is aged 18 or above on the issuance date of resident identity card;
-No need to change identity information (excluding contact information and emergency contact information).

• Applicants have to log in to their “Macao One Account” ;
• Applicants who cannot pass the facial recognition will not be able to lodge the application for renewal of Macao SAR Permanent Resident Identity Card online. If applicants are twins or multiples, they can lodge the application for renewal of permanent identity card through “Macao One Account” provided that they have bound the electronic identity with their mobile phone;
• Applicants have to choose the photo for identification documents in "My Photos" of the "Macau One Account" which is taken by a contracted photography studio in the past 12 months. You may refer to the list of contracted photography studios of “My Photo” of “Macao One Account”. The photo has to be taken within the past 12 months. (Note: DSI will request the applicant to submit additional photo if the photo provided does not meet the specified requirements. Moreover, the receipt QR code is provided by “My Photo” contracted studios, DSI will not charge any fee).
• Applicants have to agree to use the personal information in DSI database;
• Applicants have to take a selfie which will be checked against the identification document photo;
• Applicants have to proceed to DSI offices in person for photo-taking and fingerprint impression. Applicants who are under the age of 25 on the issuance date of resident identity card also needs height measurement on the spot; applicants need to bring along their original resident identity card for cancellation when picking up new identity card. If the applicants are unable to present the original resident identity card, they should state the reason and submit a proof of loss issued by the police authority.

Circumstances under which online application for renewal of Macao SAR Resident Identity Card is not applicable:

• Interdicted person;
• Application for Macao SAR Resident Identity Card due to loss or damage of document.
