1. Eligibility

• Macao SAR Resident or person who has formerly resided in Macao SAR; or person who are applying for immigration in Macao residency, and
  
• aged 16 or over.

2. Application Procedures and Documents:

(a) Application made in person

• Please present the original BIR
• For non-BIR holders: (i) Please present applicant’s valid travel document or valid document for entering Macao; and (ii) Documentary proof of the connection between applicant and Macao, such as Residence Permit, Identity Permit of Non-Resident Worker, proof of schooling or proof of application for residing in Macao (e.g. a notice of Residence Permit issued by the Immigration Department).

(b) Application made by applicant's direct relative (i.e. parents or children aged 18 or over) or spouse:

Please submit the following:

• Photocopy of the applicant's Macao Resident Identity Card (BIR); for non-BIR holders: photocopy of applicant’s valid travel document or valid document for entering Macao and documentary proof of the connection between applicant and Macao
• A full set of applicant's ten fingerprints (for first time application);
• Original identity document of the representative of this application;
• Documentary proof of the kinship (if the relevant data is not archived at Identification Services Bureau);
• Documentary proof of why the applicant cannot apply in person, such as medical record;

(c) Application made by authorized person

Please submit the following:

• Proxy or letter of authorization ( Samples can be obtained at DSI or from website www.dsi.gov.mo) Forms Download- Declaration (Certificate of Criminal Record);
• Photocopy of the applicant's Macao Resident Identity Card (BIR); for non-BIR holders: photocopy of applicant’s valid travel document or valid document for entering Macao and documentary proof of the connection between the applicant and Macao;
• A full set of applicant's ten fingerprints (for first time application);
• Original identity document of the authorized person.

3. Fees:

• Standard Service: MOP50.00.
• Express Service: MOP150.00

• Express Service: 2 business days

5. Overseas Applications

Applicants residing abroad may apply by post.

Application Procedures:
Applicants should apply by completing the application form or by letter. The letter should contain the following: name of applicant, parents’ name, date and place of birth, nationality, marital status, the reason for applying the certificate, contact information, and applicant’s signature with right index finger imprinted next to the signature. (For first time application, please imprint all ten fingers.)

 

Please submit the following documents:

• Proof of residence in Macao or proof of application for residing in Macao, such as identity documents issued in Macao, proof of schooling or a notice of Residence Permit issued by Immigration Department;
• Photocopy of valid Travel document/Passport.
• To confirm the names of parents printed on the certificate, please submit a photocopy of the relevant documents if the data is not archived at Identification Services Bureau (e.g. birth certificate).

 

Fees (a+b+c= total fee):

Applicant should submit a bank draft payable to .Draft/Cheque drawn in the applicant’s country such as Money order, cashier’s order will NOT be accepted.

- Reference of the total amount of application fee: Normal: USD19.00 / HKD130.00

                                             Urgent: USD32.00 / HKD230.00

A detailed application fee breakdown is as follows:

a) Application Fees

Normal: MOP50.00

Urgent: An additional fee of MOP100.00 is charged

b) Bank Charges

Since the banks in applicant’s country may have association with the Hong Kong banks or the Macao banks and therefore the bank drafts are divided into two categories:

Bank drafts in USD: Since it is cashed in America, the Macao banks will impose a bank commission of MOP60.00
Bank draft in HKD: divided into two categories
Draft / Cheque drawn in Macao: no service charge
Draft / Cheque drawn in Hong Kong: Macao banks will impose a bank commission of MOP40.00

Other forms of payment like Money order, cashier's order will NOT be accepted.

c) Postage Changes

An additional charge of MOP 40.00 (Air Registered Mail) is needed.

6. Term of Validity

The Criminal Record Certificate is valid for 90 days from the date of issue.

1. The content of Certificate of Special Record for Minors:

• Record of educational measures imposed on the minor who is up to the age of 12 and under the age of 16. The above record will be cancelled after applicant reaches the age of 21.

2. Eligibility

• Resident of the Macao SAR or has formerly resided in the Macao SAR;
• Up to the age of 12 and under the age of 21;
• If applicant is under the age of 16 , application must be made by his/her legal representative;
• If applicant is or over the age of 16 , application could be made in person, or by his/her parents, spouse or an authorized person.

• If applicant is under the age of 16 , application must be submitted by his/her legal representative (parents or guardian);
  • Photocopy of the applicant's Macao Resident Identity Card; for non-BIR holders, photocopy of applicant’s valid travel document or a valid document for entering Macao; and documentary proof of the connection between applicant and Macao, such as Residence Permit, proof of schooling or proof of application for residing in Macao (e.g. a notice of Residence Permit issued by the Immigration Department)
  • A full set of applicant’s ten fingerprints (for first time application).
  • Original identity document of applicant's legal representative.

   

• If applicant is or over the age of 16

  a) Application made in person

Starting from May 24, 1999, the following two types of person who are the first-time application of BIR should submit the Certificate of Residence:

• BICN holders
• One Way Permit holders

The aforesaid certificate can be applied at the Immigration Department.

• Applicable to Macao SAR Resident Identity Card (BIR) holders
• Please submit a photocopy of applicant's BIR and one 1.5” recent colour photo.
