In order to continuously promote electronic government services, the Identification Services Bureau has introduced self-service kiosks for lodging application for the Certificate of Criminal Record, Renewal of Macao SAR Resident Identity Card, Macao SAR Passport and so on since 2012. Eligible applicants can submit applications on their own with the abovementioned kiosks and do not need to obtain a number tag in advance.
Self-service Application for Permanent Resident Identity Card Renewal
Applicant Eligibilities for 24-hour Self-service Application:
- Possessing a Macao SAR Permanent Resident Identity Card;
- Aged 25 or above on the latest issuance date of identity card.
Applicant Eligibilities for Self-service Application in Office Hours:
- Possessing a Macao SAR Permanent Resident Identity Card;
- Aged 5 or above on the latest issuance date of identity card.
Please note that:
- Eligible applicants can use the self-service kiosk to renew their resident identity card as early as 6 months before it expires or after its expiry.
- Applicants may choose to use the photograph taken on-site at no cost or submit a photo taken at a photography studio within the last 6 months (Photograph Specifications) or use the photograph for identification documents taken by a contracted photography studio and stored in “My Photo” of the “Macao One Account” as the identity card photo.
- Underage applicants have to be accompanied by their parent or guardian who is holding the Macao SAR resident identity card when lodging the application.

The self-service kiosks are not applicable to applicants under the following conditions. They are required to obtain a number tag and lodge their applications at service counters.
- Modify personal data (except address, telephone number, occupation and emergency contact);
- Loss of identity card (proof of loss is required);
- An interdicted or quasi-interdicted person.

GovPay, UnionPay App and Mpay are accepted for payment.
Self-service Application for Macao SAR Passport
Applicant Eligibilities:
- Possessing a Macao SAR Permanent Resident Identity Card;
- 1.5 meters or above in height;
- Chinese national.
Please note that:
- Applicants can use the self-service kiosks to submit a first-time application for Macao SAR Passport or renew the Macao SAR Passport as early as 9 months before it expires or after its expiry.
- Applicants may choose to use the photograph taken on-site at no cost or submit a photo taken at a photography studio within the last 6 months (Photograph Specifications) or use the photograph for identification documents taken by a contracted photography studio and stored in “My Photo” of the “Macao One Account” as the identity card photo.
- The underage applicant and their parents or guardian must be present when lodging the application.

Self-service Application for Macao SAR Travel Permit
Applicant Eligibilities:
- Possessing a Macao SAR Permanent Resident Identity Card;
- 1.5 meters or above in height;
- Chinese national.
- Not eligible for other travel documents.
Please note that:
- Applicants can use the self-service kiosks to submit a first-time application for Macao SAR Passport or renew the Macao SAR Passport as early as 9 months before it expires or after its expiry.
- Applicants may choose to use the photograph taken on-site at no cost or submit a photo taken at a photography studio within the last 6 months (Photograph Specifications) or use the photograph for identification documents taken by a contracted photography studio and stored in “My Photo” of the “Macao One Account” as the identity card photo.

Self-service Application for Visit Permit to Hong Kong SAR
Applicant Eligibilities:
- Possessing a Macao SAR Permanent Resident Identity Card or a Macao SAR Non-permanent Resident Identity card;
- 1.5 meters or above in height;
- Chinese or Portuguese national.
Please note that:
- Applicants can use the self-service kiosks to submit a first-time application for the Visit Permit to HKSAR or renew the Visit Permit to HKSAR as early as 9 months before it expires or after its expiry.
- Applicants may choose to use the photograph taken on-site at no cost or submit a photo taken at a photography studio within the last 6 months (Photograph Specifications) or use the photograph for identification documents taken by a contracted photography studio and stored in “My Photo” of the “Macao One Account” as the identity card photo.
- The underage applicant and their parents or guardian must be present when lodging the application.

Self-service Application for Certificate of Personal Data
Applicant Eligibilities:
- Possessing a Macao SAR Permanent Resident Card or a Macao SAR Non-permanent Resident Identity Card;
- Aged 18 or above;

Please note that:
This service is not applicable to persons who need to apply for the certificate of having no children in Macao, the certificate of document authentication or the certificate for proving other identification documents which had ever been held or submitted by the applicants. Besides, the self-service kiosks are not applicable to applicants under the following conditions. They are required to obtain a number tag and lodge their applicants at traditional service counters.
- The Macao SAR Resident Identity Card expired;
- The Macao Resident Identity Card is being renewed;
- Persons who are modifying personal data (such as data on the identity card face, marital status, parents’ names etc);
- An interdicted or quasi-interdicted person.

Self-service Application for Certificate of Kinship
Applicant Eligibilities:
- Holder of Macao SAR Permanent Resident Card or a Macao SAR or Macao SAR Non-permanent Resident Identity Card;
- Aged 18 or above.

Applicable relationship:
Applicants can use self-service kiosk to apply for the Certificate of Kinship related to their parents, children, spouse, brother and sister, grandparents and grandchildren (hereinafter referred as “persons concerned”)
Required Documents:
When lodging application, the applicant has to follow system instructions to operate and insert the Macao Special Administrative Region Resident Identity Card of the persons concerned. Up to eight persons concerned can be provided in the same application.
Same-day Collection:
Eligible applicants can collect the certificate at designated locations on the same day. Details can be found at www.dsi.gov/certificate_e.jsp.
The self-service kiosks are not applicable to applicants under the following conditions. They are required to obtain a number tag and lodge the application at service counters.
- The Macao SAR Resident Identity Card expired;
- The Macao Resident Identity Card is being renewed;
- Persons who are modifying personal data (such as data on the identity card face, marital status, parents’ names etc);
- An interdicted or quasi-interdicted person;
- The relationship information does not exist in the applicant’s Macao resident identity record.

Self-service Application for Certificate of Association and Foundation
Applicants who fulfill the following conditions can use the 24-hour self-service kiosk to apply for the Certificate of Existence of Registration Record of Established Association or Foundation:
- Possessing a Macao SAR Resident Identity Card;
- Aged 18 or above.
Members of the association or foundation who fulfill the following conditions can use the 24-hour self-service kiosk to apply for the Certificate of the Leadership Structure of Established Association or Foundation:
- Possessing a Macao SAR Resident Identity Card;
- Aged 18 or above;
- Member of the association or foundation;
- The leadership structure of the association or foundation is still in effect;
- The association or foundation has applied for the latest Certificate of the Leadership Structure before

- Not holding a Macao SAR Resident Identity Card (including loss of ID card);
- The Macao SAR Resident Identity Card expired (except the identity card is being renewed);

Obtain Tag Number and Appointment
Citizens can obtain tag number or make appointment in the following ways: at the Ticketing Counter of the Identification Services Bureau, by telephone (only appointment), on the website of the Identification Services Bureau and at the self-service kiosk.
